Our Legal Experience
We bring more than 50 years of legal experience in products and manufacturing to your product safety and product warning issues. Our lawyers have worked with manufacturers of CONSUMER GOODS, INDUSTRIAL EQUIPMENT, HOME APPLIANCES, CHEMICAL AND ADHESIVES, AIRCRAFT AND AVIATION COMPONENTS, MEDICAL DEVICES, PRESCRIPTION AND OTC PHARMACEUTICALS, TRANSPORTATION EQUIPMENT, FOODS, and GARMENTS.
In the past, our work has been:
- Creating integrated hazard communication programs, including MSDS, warning labels, and instruction manuals
- On-site evaluations with manufacturers' engineers, toxicologists, industrial hygienists, in-house counsel, risk managers, and production managers to close design loops, improve communications, and find solutions to product hazards and product warnings in new and existing product lines
- Creating manufacturers' use and care instruction manuals
- Creating and implementing comprehensive product safety programs that built upon existing systems to ensure manufacturing the safest possible product
- Creating integrated product warnings
- On-site evaluation with manufacturing teams to establish foreseeable use in new product lines
- Interviewing and retaining scientific, technical, and medical expertise to evaluate product hazards
- Analyzing and integrating MSDS with manufacturers' hazard communication programs, including REACH compliant safety data sheets
- Reinforcing existing warning programs with in-house counsel by establishing priorities to identify, list, rank, and record product hazards
- Assisting manufacturing teams from Concept and Design through Distribution and Sale to integrate safety protocols into existing manufacturing processes
- Leading manufacturers' recall teams to orchestrate the withdrawal of product from the market, the precision of the company's message, and the regulatory approval of the recall process
- Legal research and fact-finding as the foundational basis for product warnings
- Interviewing and retaining expert witnesses for product liability litigation
- Implementing defense strategies in product liability litigation based upon the product's existing design and the product's hazard communication
